It Takes A Village To Get A Passport

After 6 months of waiting for K's passport he finally received it!!! No miscommunication this time. G and K's complete file is on it's way to Cheryl, the director of our agency. She will overnight it to us. We will carry it to our local immigration office, they will approve it and Liberia will get the approval. The kids will go in front of the consular, get approval for a visa and then they will get their visa. They will then come home. We are hoping they will come home with a friend who is traveling in January. We could hit some snags with our local USCIS office and/or the visa interview but I am hoping all the snags are behind us.

It truly took a village for K to get his passport. It took Cheryl fighting for it. Our friend and fellow adoptive mother, Karen, laid some great groundwork while she was in Liberia two weeks ago. We had so many people praying and hoping for this passport. Currently, Jess and Sharon, friends and fellow adoptive mothers, are in Liberia and they were determined to not leave until they had secured his passport. They did. We are eternally grateful for everyone's support.

I have to go now. I am going to try to get my feet to touch the ground!!
