We drove 12 hours to arrive at Inola, Oklahoma. I know it is a destination hot spot for many but our family had never been there. It is a place I will never forget. We spent the weekend watching Gormah and Kuker reconnect with their friends who they lived with at the AFAA house in Africa. We watched Kennedy and Ben make new friends. We finally got to meet the families that we grew close to while going through our adoption process. It was a great weekend.
It was weekend filled with food, swimming, sweat, foosball, four wheelers, hayrides and homemade ice cream. Our kids crashed each night and woke up excited to start playing each morning. Lori stated she had not seen Kuker so tired since we picked him up at the airport after coming home from Africa. He looked jet lagged each night.
We arrived home and have been rapidly preparing for school. Organizing four school supplies lists (12 boxes of crayons, 29 gluesticks, 98 pencils, 10 boxes of tissues...you get the picture), immunizations, eye appointments, hair cuts, uniforms. Inola! Take us away!!!
