We were at a local festival and Lori bought a t-shirt for me that says "i used to be cool". It was a shirt I said I liked. She was not mad at me or anything.
This shirt has become my favorite shirt. The first time I wore it Gormah kept asking me if I was cold. After about the third time of her asking if I was cold I asked her why she kept asking me that.
She pointedly reads my shirt and says "you used to be cold".
I respond by saying "No babe. Not cold...cool. Like I used to rock". Rock is a term she is familiar with because I always say "Mom rocks" and all the kids like to to tell me how much I don't rock. We also give the kids rock (Like high five except with fists) when they do something good or we tell them they rock when we catch good behavior.
She nods her head and doesn't say anything else. The next day she comes to me and says very sweetly, "Mom you still cold rock". This makes me laugh hysterically and she gets mad because she thinks I am laughing at her. She stomps off to go find Kennedy so she can have an ally in her injustice. But, hey, we had a moment.
