i think ice cream has the potential to right all wrongs in the world. have you ever seen a displeased person eating ice cream? no. the answer is no. i love ice cream. particularly ben & jerry's chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, which i will simply refer to as heaven in the interest of not writing that very long name throughout this post. heaven is not only delicious but they are a very environmentally friendly company. heaven makes me very happy because my palette is pleased and i am helping the world heal. very satisfying. this is leading somewhere so hang in here with me.
friday is our family fun night which means dessert. we took the kids to the store and let them pick out ice cream. kennedy is concerned with price. she is very thrifty. her selection was economical. now taste and earth saving capabilities do not come cheap. when kennedy noticed the price of my heaven she exclaimed "mom, that is a blow off!". uh, the phrase is rip off and let's talk about the real issue here. the real issue is that you are committing blasphemy. saving the world ain't cheap but i am willing to do my part.
once home, i allowed kennedy to taste heaven. she agreed it was well worth the investment and no longer considers it a blow off. i am molding and making her after my will (that is for you laura).
