i am a believer in karma. i see it in action often. it is beautiful when karma occurs because no other action is warranted. justice is served. karma seems to naturally happen with our children and we call it kiddie karma. lori and i started using the term when penalties naturally happened without any interference from us. ben would snag a toy from a sibling and then run into the wall as he was making his escape. kiddie karma. kennedy forgetting to flush and then dropping a barbie in the gross water. kiddie karma. gomah bossing someone around and biting her own tongue. kiddie karma. kuker falling down when trying to trip another sibling. kiddie karma. one of the best incidents of kiddie karma happened yesterday. our neighbor has quite the garden. our kids love his garden. our neighbors are great at sharing but our kids can be a force. we have told them repeatedly not to walk through his garden because it gets trampled. don't take anything without asking. leave his garden alone. our kids listen to that about as well as they listen to flushing, talking nice and sharing. not.
ben and kuker were playing outside and ben comes in hysterical. he is crying and snotting and yelling his mouth is on fire. he said he ate something. he could not tell me what. i was nervous. kuker said he ate a spicy tomato. what? i was somewhat scared scanning the yard to determine the threat. then i realized what a spicy tomato was. a habanero pepper in our neighbor's garden. ben is inside with his mouth running under the faucet for about 4 minutes. he is crying. his mouth is hurting. i quickly transition from fear to anger to laughter. kiddie karma dude. here is a cup of crushed ice. bet you stay away from the garden now.

love it and I know exactly what snotting means!
I tasted a drop of the juice from a hanenero pepper once and thought my face was going to burn completely off! Too funny!
