This week has been rough. Honestly, there have been times we have questioned our decision. There have been moments where if an unadoption fairy had showed up and said let me take them we may have said okay.
The silver lining, in the chaos that is our life, is the bond the children are forming with one another. The boys have really grown close. They like sports, bikes, cars and playing outside. They wrestle and Kuker shows a gentleness with Ben that we are constantly amazed at. The boys love riding their bikes. Ben seems to get stuck a lot and Kuker always stops what he is doing and goes to give him a push. Kuker never tires of stopping, getting off his bike, running to Ben and giving him a push on his bike. Ben only allows Kuker to help him on his bike. They have to stick together. They live with four girls.
Ben is very affectionate with Kuker. Kuker had a hard time with receiving "boy kisses" but has recently given a few to Ben.
At night, Kuker "reads" to Ben and Ben never sits as still as when Kuker is reading. It is really sweet. When we see the kids growing so close it makes me think we might tell the unadoption fairy to go away. Hope she doesn't show up at the wrong time.
