We are very lucky in that Gormah and Kuker are really healthy. They do not have any physical problems. Now lets talk about teeth. Not so good. Gormah has terrible gum disease and the pediatric dentist cannot even do a complete evalualtion on her due to the tartar and gunk on her teeth. Gunk is a dental term for gross stuff. Kuker will have to have several teeth pulled and tons of other work done. Both children will need to be hospitalized. The procedures for each will last about 5 hours. The total expense is several thousand dollars for each child.
We are very excited about this. Our dental insurance covers a whooping $750 per child per year. Our dentist, who we love, referred us to Kosair charities. Kosairs accepted our family and will be paying the unpaid portion of the bills after insurance.
This is a huge relief as we are still recovering after all the adoption expenses.
