On a lighter note...

Let me start by saying Kennedy is great at sharing with her brother. If she gets a treat at school she will save part of it for Ben. She saves part of her lunch to share with him. She shares a little too much.

Sharing does not come as easily for Ben because he is two. Sharing is not a strong point at this age. Kennedy handles that well for the most part.

Ben started to mature today. He was eating Vanilla Wafers in the car while waiting for Kennedy to finish school. As we are waiting he puts a cookie in one hand and says "I share cookie with Kaka (his name for her)". Of course I oooohhhh and aaahhhh and make a big deal out of him sharing his cookie. He goes on to eat the rest of his cookies and then begins to eye the one left for Kennedy. He continues to talk about how this cookie is for Kaka as he is licking it and taking small bites out of it. He rubs it under his nose and smells it. I am hysterical laughing thinking that if this cookie makes it to Kennedy it is going to be a slimy, booger coated remnant of a cookie. I am also imagining her face as he hands the mushy cookie to her. She is pretty gracious for the most part but come on...she is still seven. So as you can guess the cookie was eaten before Kennedy entered the car.

I told her the story and she was still very touched that Ben wanted to share with her. I guess it is the thought that counts after all. The thought probably counts more when the gift involved is covered in spit and snot.
