We are not sure our Visa 37 is in the right place. Our director reports it needs to be in Liberia. Immigration reports it stays here. We have emailed and we are now waiting to hear back. We are also waiting for K's passport.
Our director recently emailed and informed us to be patient because our children are safe at the AFAA house. I agree they are safe from starving and post war violence. However, they are not able to begin healing because they remain in limbo. They are not receiving the nutrition they need because it is simply not available in Africa. They are not receiving the medical care they need because it is also not available in Africa. They are not receiving the counseling or schooling they need. Most importantly they are not home. It is very hard to be patient when your children do not have essential needs met.
Everyone states that once G and K are home the pain of this process will be forgotten, much like child birth. I agree that will be the case but it does not stop the worrying and pain now. Can we have our epidural??
